If I could be someone, I’d want to be Mr. Forrest from the movie Forrest Gump.
Despite the disadvantage of an intellectual disability, the way he lived his life—never denying himself or others, and facing the fate he was given head-on—truly inspires me.
Canon's Diary
Action without thought is empty; thought without action is blind – Goethe

While living with schizophrenia, I move between Tokyo and Osaka. Through this journal, I hope to quietly share moments from my daily life—and memories from the journey I’ve taken with my illness.

Forrest Gump is such an iconic choice! His unwavering honesty, simplicity, and dedication to living life fully despite the obstacles he faces make him a remarkable character. The way he embraces life’s ups and downs, without overthinking or holding back, is a refreshing lesson in resilience and authenticity. It’s inspiring how he stays true to himself, no matter the situation, and shows us that greatness often comes from simply being true and present in the world around us.

I wish you well in managing your schizophrenia, It doesn’t have to control your life. My Father anaylized himself with ” Schezophrenic” his handwriting. He was a Chief Psychologist with the Veterans Administration. He was proud to be called a doctor ” who was not a medical doctor that couldn’t prescribe medication. You have a great companion Collie. DogGarageSale knows about dogs. Take care of yourself and your wife.

Thanks for your worm words. I appreciate you sharing the story about your father. Our beloved dog Canon has already pssed away. But she is still alive in our minds. Since I was often away from home for work and made Canon feel lonely, my wife and I have decided that the next time we get a dog, it will be only after we’ve created an environment where we can properly take care of it.
